Over the last few years I have spent many hours trying to find the "perfect" baby gift -- I'm sure you can relate. I found it especially difficult to find clothing for children (particularly boys) that was unique, stylish, and affordable. I soon realized that by choosing the right fabrics and using a basic style, I could create a terrific garment. I was then off to the fabric store and home to my sewing machine and a week later I had my first pieces.... and I haven't stopped since. Over the years I have made quilts, wedding dresses, slipcovers, drapes and much more but this has been the most fun yet!!

Why shop at KIDS HANGOUT? You might be wondering what makes us different...

Most of my garments are made from 100% cotton fabrics. I add length to the legs & sleeves to allow room for growth. A lot of my customers tell me that they usally get 2 seasons out of a dress (first season as a dress, the second as a top paried with leggings).

Usually I only make one of each size for each fabric/fabric combination (boys' garments are an exception) so you never have to worry about seeing another child wearing the same outfit as yours!

I have gone to painstaking effort to locate fabrics that are fun, fashionable, and unique and I use a large amount of batiks which are hand-dyed fabrics and each is a work of art on it's own.

You may find some of the more popular prints in independent quilting stores but I'm sure you will agree that they are truly different.
